At the end of January, Kelsey Rey (Serwa) and her mom spent the evening dining through the village at Big White Ski Resort. They stopped at four different restaurants, experiencing some of the best each venue had to offer. We got the lowdown on this culinary adventure from the Olympic Gold Medalist herself.
Now a year into this pandemic, we know all too well how tied to our computers, cellphones, and desks we need to be to keep things running smoothly, and we know those vacations to sunny beaches and exotic locations have been put on hold. Our fingers are stiff from typing, our eyes are sore from staring at the computer, our vacation days are racking up, and, to be honest, we’re just kind of tired of always making sure we look presentable in our Zoom meetings.
We have such amazing guests here at Big White Ski Resort, so when we hit our 200cm Alpine Base, we wanted to celebrate by sharing some of our favourite photos of the season. Thank you for voting, and helping us nail down the top 10!

Time to bundle up! We're in a cold snap up here at Big White Ski Resort, with temperatures dipping below -30C with wind chill in the alpine. Remember to dress in layers, pack extra masks – they get wet and freeze – and be aware of signs of frostbite. There are plenty of place to thaw those fingers and toes, but please be respectful of the COVID-19 safety protocols in our day lodges and buildings.
While soaking your sore body in a hot tub after a long day of pushing pow is nice... it's not always what your muscles and joints need. We caught up with Michelle Smith, owner of Big White Mountain Fitness and a BCRPA Certified Fitness Trainer, to compile a list of warm ups and stretches designed specifically for snowboarders and skiers.
Located at the top of Big White Village, in the Chateau Big White next to the Plaza Chair, Black Diamond Bar & Grill is a must-visit for any foodies hitting the slopes. The team is always striving to provide not only the most delicious dishes and drinks, but also serve them up with a warm smile (behind face coverings, of course!). There are many reasons to visit Black Diamond restaurant on your next trip to Big White, but here are the top 5!
Sip through the ages, with women who were queens and warriors, aviators and doctors, empresses and saints. Globe Cafe & Tapas Bar, now in its 13th season at Big White Ski Resort, has a brand new cocktail list with 11 unique cocktails, each designed and named with a powerful female figure in mind.
