Snowmobiling is an exhilarating way to enjoy Big White’s stunning backcountry.  A variety of snowmobile tours take place on trails catered to all skill levels. Drive your own snowmobile or double up with a friend, and see Big White in a new and exciting way.

*Add Loss Waiver Deductible for $39 on 1hr & 2hr tours and $49 for 4 hr & all day tours. Ask our team at the Activities Desk in the Village Centre Mall for more information OR email resortservices@bigwhite.com 

*** Please note, a $1000.00 deposit for 1hr & 2hr tours, $1500 deposit for 4 hr & all day tours, per group is required for every tour. Payable on Credit Card  


Helpful Information

  • All drivers must be at least 16 years of age with a valid drivers license and parental consent.
  • There is no age restriction for passengers however they must be more than 91cm (3 ft) tall.
  • All riders must sign a waiver. Persons under 19 years require a parent/guardian to sign on their behalf. 
  • A damage deposit (paid by credit card) is required for all tours.
  • Helmets are provided.
  • Adult size snowmobile gear is available for those that do not have their own ski gear.
  • Arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.


Quick Tips

  • Wear warm winter clothing with layers - we recommend snow pants and jacket.
  • Wear warm winter boots
  • Bring a neck warmer and goggles and ski gloves
  • Bring your driver's license
  • There will be lots of photo opportunities so be sure to bring a camera


How to Get There

  • From the Village Centre - take Lara's Gondola to Happy Valley, turn left and cross the bridge into the Happy Valley Adventure Park. Then proceed to the Snowmobile Hut.
  • By Vehicle - Park in the Happy Valley Parking Lot, proceed to the Adventure Park. Then proceed to the Snowmobile Hut.

  • Hot food/beverages available for purchase in the Happy Valley Day Lodge a short walk away
  • Heated Washroom facilities in the Happy Valley Adventure Park and In Happy Valley Day Lodge.

  • 1 Hour Snowmobile Tour

    A beginner guest favourite! Outback Snowmobiles will introduce you to the sport of snowmobiling in a safe, exciting and informative environment. 

    The 1 Hour Tour is perfect for those who are new to the sport of snowmobiling. Your guide will ensure that you are at a comfort level suited to your ability, and introduce you to routes and trails that have been selected to challenge and excite you. Your guide will take you on a journey through picturesque terrain including beautiful forests, and spectacular views. There will be photo stops so you can capture your day!

    • Limit of 10 sleds (20 people) 
  • 2 Hour Snowmobile Tour

    Take a ride through the pristine backcountry of Big White. Enjoy the perfect mix of easy riding and picturesque scenery - ideal for first time snowmobilers and families!

    This two hour tour is ideal for first time snowmobilers and families. Your guide will ensure that you are at a comfort level suited to your ability, and introduce you to routes and trails that have been selected to challenge and excite you. Outback Snowmobiles will take you through the pristine backcountry of Big White for the perfect mix of easy riding and picturesque scenery.

    • Limit of 10 sleds (20 people)
  • 4 Hour Snowmobile Tour

    The ultimate backcountry experience! Your guide will take you on an exciting journey through spectacular terrain as you experience the thrill of riding in wide open champagne powder.

    The champagne powder run! This 4 hour tour is for riders looking for the thrill of riding through wide open clearings of untouched powder. Your guide will take you on a journey through spectacular terrain including prestine forests and breathtaking views.

    • Single riders only
    • Bring a small snack
    • Limit of 5 sleds
  • All Day 6-7 Hour Snowmobile Tour

    Embark on the ultimate full-day backcountry adventure! Join your guide for an exhilarating exploration through breathtaking landscapes, immersing yourself in the excitement of gliding through expansive fields of pristine champagne powder. This extended tour spans the entire day, offering riders seeking thrills the chance to traverse untouched powder in wide open clearings. Prepare to be captivated by the beauty of pristine forests and awe-inspiring views on this unforgettable journey.

    • Single Riders Only
    • Limit 5 sleds
    • Please bring a bagged lunch and water
  • Terms & Conditions
    • All drivers must be 16 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
    • Upon arrival to the cabin, each group must provide a credit card for a damage deposit. Those without a credit card can leave $1000 cash as a damage deposit provided that they have purchased the $39 loss waiver deductible.
    • All riders are responsible for any damage to their machines. 
    • Outback Snowmobiles provides optional loss waiver deductible for your own snowmobile.
      • $39 loss waiver deductible - driver's pay no more than $1000 for any damage caused to a snowmobile.
      • No loss of waiver deductible - driver is responsible for the cost of all damages to the snowmobile up to the full value of the machine.
  • Cancellation Policy
    • Tours require full payment at time of booking
    • No refunds within 72 hours of tour departure
    • Tour time can be rescheduled up to 48 hours prior to departure
    • There are no refunds/reschedules available due to poor weather/visibility
