Interpretive Group Tour for Ages 16+

TOUR STANDARD RATE
Interpretive Group Tour $60 per person
Family Adventure Private Tour $160 for up to 8 people
Nordic Trail Pass & Rentals not included see Nordic Trails for trail pass rates and Nordic & Snowshoe Rentals for pricing. If you have a Season Pass or valid lift ticket for the day of your Snowshoe Tour you’re covered and do not need to purchase a Trail Pass. Prices are shown in CAD, do not include tax and are subject to change without notice.

  • 2-hour guided snowshoe tour with a local, knowledgeable host
  • 25 kms (15.5 miles) of trails to explore
  • Small groups with a maximum of 8 people

  • Price is per person for Interpretive Group Tour
  • Price is per tour (up to 8 people) for Family Adventure Private Tour
  • All participants must have a valid Trail pass, Alpine ticket or Season's pass to use the trails
  • Book in advance to ensure availability

Quick Tips

  • Wear warm winter clothing with layers
  • Wear thin gloves, such as liners, rather than Ski-specific Gloves or mittens
  • Bring water for the way around!
  • A toque, and somewhere to stash it once you get going.
  • Wear warm winter boots
  • Poles are required

  • Washrooms available inside the Happy Valley Day Lodge

Why is there a fee to access the trails?

  • All users must have a ticket. Guests with a current season passes, day ticket or Powder Card have trail access included for free.
  • The Nordic trails, snowshoe trails and twinkling trail are located within the Controlled Recreational Area of Big White Ski Resort Ltd. BWSR must maintain the usability and safety of these trails.
  • We have dedicated staff from our Grooming, Patrol, Resort Services, Parking, Snow Removal and Food & Beverage Teams working daily to ensure ticketed guests have safe access to our trail network.
  • When the snow melts, our maintenance program continues to ensure a safe and reliable operation during the winter. This includes machinery maintenance, tree removal, brush cutting, sign maintenance, and light installation.
