The kids are back in school, the bikes packed away, and Summer at Big White has officially come to an end. On September 2, we said goodbye to hiking, biking and fields of wildflowers to patiently await snow and another epic season of skiing and boarding.
Looking for a luxurious and convenient stay at Big White Ski Resort, but don’t want the environmental toll that often comes with it? Look no further than Crescendo – a 5,200 square foot chalet, which comfortably sleeps up to 22 people, located at the corner of Hummingbird Run and Gondola Way.
Luxury Mountain Vacation Rentals is another locally owned business on the mountain leading the way in reducing environmental impact at its properties.
Real estate sales at Big White Ski Resort experienced a boom this past July, boasting 14 sales – making it the most successful July at the resort in 15 years.
In just a few months, the lifts at Big White Ski Resort will start spinning for another season. While guests have been busy hiking, biking, and playing on the mountain over the summer, staff have been digging, building, moving and investing to make the resort even better for the 2019/2020 Winter season.
After experiencing devastating water damage in March 2019, The BullWheel Gastro Family Pub has undergone extensive renovations to be ready for all of our guests come Winter 2019/2020. Owner John Mooney gives us the lowdown:

Stranded on ice, cold, hungry and unable to swim, a Big White sled dog narrowly escaped death thanks to a hiker and the Big White Fire Department. On Monday afternoon, around 2:30 p.m., a hiker spotted the dog – which had been missing from Candle Creek Kennels for five days – out on the ice at Lake Paul, next to the Powder Chair.
