New Day Lodge and Dining Service Options
These changes are part of the resort's ongoing commitment to providing diverse and enticing food services for all guests, regardless of their dietary preferences or choices.
"The focus of our off-season efforts this year has been to add individual personality and distinctive offerings to each of our food service outlets," says Trevor Hanna, VP of Hospitality at Big White Ski Resort. "In the increasingly competitive market for the consumer's attention, we felt it was important to ensure that Big White Ski Resort continues to offer a wide variety of menus that will be attractive across a wide array of palates and budgets.”
Here's a glimpse of the dynamic updates:
The Ridge Day Lodge has completely transformed from the kitchen out to the customer interface. This is the new home of 'SPUDS,' a fresh dining concept centred on quick-serve options and traditional ski hill favourites. Guests will enjoy a poutine bar, baked potatoes, perogies, daily soups, and breakfast sandwiches starting at 8 a.m. Many items are gluten and vegan-friendly.
The main cafeteria area in the Happy Valley Day Lodge has been updated and divided into two distinct concepts. 'Alpine Express' offers an expanded grab-and-go section with house-made salads, sandwiches, breakfast items, and pre-packaged snacks. A new specialty coffee bar will now serve a range of espresso-based hot and cold beverages. The adjacent 'Alpine Burger Co.' will offer deluxe gourmet burgers, sides, and a selection of popular appetizers.
The newly branded VISTA at the Black Forest Day Lodge has revamped its menu to include international-inspired noodle bowls and hearty favourites. Guests can savour these delicious options while taking in the breathtaking views of the Monashee Mountains.
The Clocktower Coffee Co. has received a makeover, including an expanded barista station to expedite service. Digital screens have been installed to display a vibrant and regularly updated menu. Patrons will be able to select from diverse, high-quality coffee products, along with an assortment of pastries and hot sandwiches for breakfast and lunch.
Introducing an entirely revamped menu, with an artfully crafted cocktail list and a wine selection spotlighting British Columbia's finest. Lunch and dinner menus are carefully curated for each meal period, featuring classic dishes alongside perennial favourites. Guests seeking an exceptional Après experience can explore the specially designed menu available from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., with enticing cocktail and wine discounts from Monday to Thursday. The restaurant's interior has been refreshed with a new colour scheme and finishes to provide a renewed ambiance.
This season, Big White Ski Resort's mission is to improve its day lodge and dining experiences with this redesign to complement a perfect day on the slopes. These new menu enhancements highlight the resort's commitment to culinary excellence and unwavering dedication to guest satisfaction.
Big White Ski Resort eagerly anticipates unveiling these new offerings and more on the much-anticipated Opening Day, scheduled for November 23, 2023.
