Powder Hounds Adaptive Program By People in Motion
Powder Hounds Adaptive Program is a People in Motion specialized program designed to assist anyone at any age with physical, cognitive, or sensory challenges on the slopes at Big White Ski Resort. The program runs 7 days a week during Big White’s ski season and is led by volunteer certified Adaptive Ski Instructors.
Participants are provided with upright ski instruction with whatever aides may be necessary, along with ski-skiing for those who need additional support. A snowboard program is also available.
There is no typical day! The individual needs, challenges and desires of each participant are reviewed in advance, creating a plan to ensure a successful and fun downhill day for everyone. Family members are encouraged to join in, providing an amazing and enjoyable experience for the whole family!
All adaptive equipment and certified volunteer instructors are provided so advance bookings are necessary to ensure availability. The program graciously accepts donations to ensure continued success.
Lift Tickets are 50% off at the ticket window in resort with proof of BCAS membership
