From April 3-6, 2014, Big White Ski Resort along with BC Snowboard are hosting the 2014 Sport Chek Canadian Snowboard Cross National Championships at Big White’s TELUS Park. Riders from across Canada as well as riders who have joined us internationally will compete in their own respective categories which include Junior FIS, Senior FIS, U14 and Para Snowboard.

April 5th to 7th will be the biggest weekend to be a snowboarder at Big White Ski Resort, with the 16th Annual Neil Edgeworth Memorial Banked Slalom competition.

It was an incredible week at Big White Ski Resort, where the Sport Chek Canadian Snowboard Cross Championships took place. This year’s Canadian Championships held a strong contingent of competitors with some excellent racing by the next generation of Canadian Snowboardcross riders.

The second of two IPC Para-Snowboard World Cup went off yesterday under stellar conditions, providing the best riding available to the world-class athletes that made their way to Big White Ski Resort in Kelowna, BC.

Big White is getting ready to host the 15th annual Neil Edgeworth Banked Slalom this weekend. This event is in memory of Neil Edgeworth, an influential Canadian snowboarder who passed away in 1997 in an avalanche in Chamonix, France while filming a photo shoot with friends. The first banked slalom was in 1987 and was reintroduced in 1997 with an average of 245 people per year.
