Painting the Powder

Posted On: August 01, 2013 |

The Powder Triple Chair was installed in 1979, by Mueller Lifts. The Mueller Lift Company was started in 1947, by Gerhard Mueller, a Swiss skiing enthusiast. Gerhard Mueller first starting building rope tows in the 1920's, he is also credited with building the first T-bar. Mueller lifts found commercial success in the 1960's and 70's.

When the Powder Chair construction was finished the build crew and mountain staff did a champagne ride. The Powder Chair opened up a new section of the mountain for skiing. Today the Powder Chair still offers great skiing and snowboarding!
