Driving Your Electric Vehicle to Big White Ski Resort

As the popularity for electric vehicles in British Columbia climbs (in 2020, almost 10% of car sales were electric!), Big White Ski Resort wants to remind its guests to plug in before zooming up Big White Road.

The resort is within range (most electric vehicles can drive 300-600km on one charge), but there are currently no charging stations on the mountain. Kelowna is home to dozens, and the closest to Big White is just over 50km away.

It’s a common misconception that electric vehicles aren’t made for snowy and cold climates...but guess what? They start in all conditions and they don’t struggle to turn over. Wondering what living with an electric vehicle would be like in the Okanagan? Check out one family’s experience below:
