The resort partnered with Kelowna Stands with Ukraine to make the event happen, an organization that Big White has supported since the war in Ukraine began.

"All these kids will remember this event forever, and it's very touching and personal,” Denys Storozhuk, president of Kelowna Stands With Ukraine, told Castanet News. “It's kind of engraved in their memory how much fun they had in Kelowna in their first months of coming from Ukraine and how they met new kids here. It just feels very empowering. Everywhere I look, I see people smiling.”

Since May 2022, Big White has donated over $8K in proceeds from the sale of its blue and yellow pom-pom toques to Kelowna Stands with Ukraine. You can learn more about that initiative here
