Its world-renowned Ski & Board School is second-to-none in coaching standards both domestically and internationally. As a big mountain Big White offers so much flexibility and scope, but with the feel of a more intimate resort. With a huge range of terrain, no lift queues, champagne powder, heaps of off-snow activities and resort ambience...no wonder Big White has been named as the 'Best Family Snow Resort' in Canada for years running, as well as a "Top 5 World's Best Family Resort" destination.
What’s involved?
Developed by Director of Snow Sports, Josh Foster, our Snow Sports Training Camps offers exclusive use of Big White Ski Resort’s world-class terrain space, as well as video training and assessment in order to prepare kids for Interschools competitions and domestic club racing. Our specialist trainers have coached at FIS and National levels, and combine their extensive experience with their knowledge of Big White’s terrain to provide your young racer or freestyler with all the tools they will need to maximize improvement in a fun environment.
Both the racing and freestyle programs have been designed using the Long-Term Athlete Development model, which combines the best research in today’s sport science with the best practices in coaching and training from around the world and supports training, competition, and recovery programs based on developmental age — the physical, mental and emotional maturation of the individual — rather than chronological age.

Intercontinental Cup - January 19th, 2019
In January 2017 Big White hosted the very first Intercontinental Cup, sponsored by the Family Channel and the Big White Ski Club. The cup featured competitors from Canada, Australia and New Zealand, ranging from kids as young as six, all the way up to a Masters’ category, competing head-to-head on Lower Speculation in a dual pro format. All racers, regardless of age, were able to compete on the same track.
The Big White Ski Club claimed the inaugural Intercontinental Cup by virtue of their top 15 athletes having an aggregate time of just four seconds faster than the strong team of Kiwis, who claimed a complete sweep of the girls U18 Podium.
Back for its third year, the next Intercontinental Cup will be held in January 19th, 2019, and we are already looking forward to the competition being bigger and better than ever!
