Walking through the Village Centre here at Big White Ski Resort, you never know who you’re going to run into. I’ve seen movie celebrities, famous politicians and met people from around the world. But last week, I was stopped in my tracks when I met Bob.
Next week will see some of Canada’s top chefs and athletes arriving at Big White Ski Resort to take part in a ski and culinary week ahead of the Canadian Culinary Championships, an event which rewards the country’s best chefs while raising money for Canadian Olympic athletes.
The clouds came up to meet us on the mountain this week - and while it's been a little grey in the Village, skiers and snowboarders have been heading straight up the chairlifts to check out the sea of clouds before their eyes.
We must have been very good this year, because Santa collaborated with the Snow Gods to bring us the best possible Christmas at Big White Ski Resort. We're talking 49cm of fresh snow over the last seven days, bringing us to a cumulative snow fall of 374cm and an official snow base of 202cm.
