2015 Sport Chek Speed Nation SBX Nationals coming up at Big White

After an exciting and successful season, BC Snowboard is thrilled to welcome riders from across the country, as well as international riders, to the 2015 Sport Chek Speed Nation SBX Nationals at Big White Ski Resort, BC.

This is the biggest weekend of Boardercross racing at Big White. Last year's Nationals were a massive success and drew record crowds. This year is bound to be even bigger. Male and Female Racers will compete in three different age categories, U14 (13-14), Junior (15-18) and Seniors (19+)

The event will be held April 1-5, 2015, and feature 4 Snowboard Cross categories:

April 2nd - Senior (15+) FIS
April 3rd - Junior (15 to 19 year old) FIS
April 5th - U15 (13 to 14 year old)
April 5th - Para-Snowboard

There is guaranteed to be exciting Snowboard Cross racing at Big White Ski Resort this weekend. Snowboard Cross showcases two riders racing head to head at speeds in excess of 50km/hour, down a technical course which features rollers, jumps, banked turns and tabletops. The fastest rider to cross the finish line in each heat advances to the next round until the final heat determines the winner.

The 2015 Sport Chek Speed Nation SBX Nationals at Big White Ski Resort is organized by BC Snowboard Association, and sanctioned by Canada Snowboard. The Organizing Committee would like to thank the host mountain, Big White Ski Resort, for their ongoing support for Snowboarding in BC.

National Team riders Kevin Hill (X Games Gold medalist) and Chris Robanske (World Cup Gold medallist) will be signing autographs Friday April 3rd from 3-4pm in the Village Centre Mall. Don’t miss this chance to meet two of the top riders in the World.
