Synopsis

A last impulse associated with a strong Pacific low near the northern BC coast is expected to bring scattered flurries/patchy freezing rain in the alpine today, and periods of wet snow/rain tonight as well as moderate ridge winds throughout the day. A ridge of high pressure will build over the region tomorrow ushering in dry and above-freezing alpine temperatures into Wednesday with light to moderate ridge winds. Meanwhile, freezing levels up to 1800-2200 m are expected today/tonight, then rising to 2500-3000 m tomorrow, then falling slightly to 2000-2500 m on Wednesday.

3 to 5 Day Outlook

The ridge of high pressure is expected to continue to bring sunny conditions with light to moderate ridge winds Thursday/Friday. Meanwhile, freezing levels are expected to fall to 1500-2000 m by Thursday.
