Big White Community Clean Up

Join us for a weekend celebration of our community as we come together to clean up our incredible mountain!

Together, we can make a significant difference in preserving the natural beauty of our resort and creating a cleaner, safer and more vibrant community for everyone to enjoy.

Join us for a dynamic event on Sunday, where the Big White Fire Department will be leading a Fire Smart Assessments and Games Day as well as chipping services available in Happy Valley. 

Event Schedule:

Saturday, June 21:

9:00 am: Check In 
Meet us in the Village Centre to sign in and receive instructions, and get your clean-up supplies. Meet fellow volunteers and get your food voucher for your complimentary lunch. 

The voucher will only be available for those who register at 9 am with us. 

9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Clean-Up Time
Armed with gloves, bags, and tools, we'll fan out across the resort to tackle litter and debris that have been buried under the snow at Big White this season. Please make sure that you come dressed for the conditions with proper footwear, sunscreen, and a refillable water bottle. 

All garbage bags and gloves will be provided.

9:00 am - 5:00 pm: Big White Fire Department Chipping Services in Happy Valley
Are you looking to tidy up your backyard and contribute to a cleaner and safer community? Look no further! Join us for our free chipping services activation down in Happy Valley, where you can dispose of your dead fall in an environmentally-friendly manner, whilst also participating in a fire smart practice!

9:00 am - 5:00 pm: Firesmart Interactive Trailer & RDKB Smart & Sustainable Info Tent (The Village)

9:00 am - 5:00 pm: RDKB'S Free Drop off in Happy Valley
Bulky items, Large appliances & Household Electronics

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm: Complimentary Lunch
After a morning of hard work and dedication to our community, it's time to refuel and celebrate our accomplishments together! Join us for a delicious, complimentary lunch as a token of our appreciation for your efforts in making our community cleaner and more beautiful. 

Only those who registered at 9 am and claimed their lunch voucher may participate. 

Sunday, June 22:

10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Big White Fire Department Fire Smart Assessments and Games!
Join us for a fun-filled and educational day hosted by the Big White Fire Department in the Village, focused on Fire Smart assessments and interactive games aimed at promoting wildfire safety and preparedness in our community.
