Weninger Construction & Design Win Gold Tommie Award!
Big White has another Gold Winner at the resort! Weninger Construction & Design Ltd. received a Gold Tommie Award for their design/build of the Inuksuk Lodge in Feathertop, which by the pictures, you can tell is well deserved. You’ll know the Inuksuk lodge if you’ve ever skied down Millie’s Mile. All qualifying entries to the Tommies receive a silver award and then only the best of each category is awarded the gold. The Inuksuk Lodge and Weninger Construction were up against some great homes and builders in the category for single family homes between 1 and 1.5 million. We are proud to say that Big White is home to the best of the best, best home/best builder. Weninger Construction and Design is one of the major builders and developers at Big White and has been for over 20 years.
Here’s a peek into what this beautiful Inuksuk Lodge offers the proud owners;
You are greeted at the entry by a knight in a full suit of armor. The Lady and Gent of the home can overlook the great living room with its 23ft ceilings from a Juliette balcony off the master suite. Guests can play pool on the main floor and relax and enjoy a cognac from the bar. You can get competitive with friends in the games area playing pinball, shuffle board, ping pong and you can even top up your drinks from the games room bar before cozying up in front of the 120 inch screen to enjoy a movie at the end of the night.
At the end of a hard day of skiing you can ski right up to the boot room, put your boots on the custom built-in boot dryer, and jump right into the hot tub to relax your tired muscles. If preferred, you can have an infrared sauna to detox out the wine or cognac from the bar, followed by an aroma therapy steam in the steam room of choice. If for some reason, someone doesn’t make it to the slopes, they can go into the gym instead and get in a great workout with a full view of the slope and the Monashee Mountain Range.
After enjoying all of this, if you can still keep your eyes open, you can relax in front of anyone of the three fireplaces and take in the sunset through the 400 square foot glass windows capturing the spectacular view.
