From Maui to Big White: A Family Spring Break to Remember
After hearing for years that Big White was a great family destination, Chris, his wife and their children made the journey from Hawaii to British Columbia. Their verdict? “It made our Spring Break!”
The family arrived to find more than 10 inches of fresh snow and settled into a ski-in, ski-out home in Feathertop Estates. With mountain views, space for the kids and easy slope access, it became the perfect base for their winter getaway.
Their week included ski school, family laps, tubing at the Adventure Park and plenty of snowball fights. Chris and his wife also headed into the backcountry on a guided snowmobile tour—a surprise highlight of the trip.
Big White Village was another standout. Chris appreciated its welcoming, family-focused atmosphere and the convenience of having restaurants, rentals, lift tickets, groceries and lifts within an easy walk. The family also enjoyed dining around the resort, warming up with hot chocolate and relaxing with après-ski massages.

The welcome began in Kelowna, where the family discovered many familiar faces from Hawaii and later enjoyed a special gathering with food, drinks and live music.
For 2027, Big White’s Hawaii Spring Break special offers exclusive savings and bonus inclusions with stays of five nights or more, plus a complimentary Welcome Reception and Après experience on March 15.
