TELUS Park Rail Jam #1

December 20th, 2011

Big White's popular TELUS Park Rail jam showcases local ski and board talent. Watch riders as they style it out on custom rail and box setups under the lights of TELUS Park.  A definite highlight for the whole family! Reserve you spot by e-mailing terrainparkevents@bigwhite.com and register in the village the day of the event. Contestants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign event waivers in person. Helmets are mandatory for all competitions in TELUS Park.

RBC Riders Day

December 30th, 2011

RBC Riders is a young and exciting program executed by Canada~Snowboard and the Provincial/Territorial Snowboard Associations, with support from principal sponsor Royal Bank of Canada. RBC Riders competition was developed to fill a gap in the availability of grassroots competitive snowboarding events. It is a national event series that combines snowboarding basics with fun competition and designed for kids of all ages who are interested in experiencing an introduction to competitive snowboarding. Participants will be divided into age groups and abilities. We will be hosting a Slopestyle event in our progressive small lane of the TELUS Park, this is a great day to meet new friends and have fun. The second RBC event is January 23rd, 2012.

Schedule:

8am - 9am: Registration in the Village Centre Mall
 
9am - 12pm: Coaching in the TELUS Park

12pm - 1pm: Lunch on your own

1pm - 3pm: Fun competition in TELUS Park (with coaching)
 
3:30pm: Awards in the Village Center Mall

BCSA Provincial Series Slopestyle

January 7th & 8th, 2012

The first stop of the BC Snowboard Association Provincial Snowboard series at Big White always draws a top-notch crowd along with young guns wanting to make a name for themselves. Drop in to TELUS Park and watch our next Canadian Olympic hopefuls get their groove on. Contestants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign event waivers in person.

Helmets are mandatory for all competitions in TELUS Park.

This event will take place in the large lane of the TELUS Park; therefore it will be closed both days. The event will usually wrap by 2:00pm, and the park can be opened once clean up of the site is completed.
