Big White Racers BC Ski Cross Championships

February 23rd - 24th

TELUS Park will be the place to be to check out all the high-speed action, with racers of all ages duking it out for the top spot on the podium.  If you would like to try your luck at Ski Cross, have a look at the information below;

Categories   Men/Ladies - U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, Masters (19+) (ages as of Dec 31/12); classes may be merged within gender or age

Race Format  February 23rd - Course inspection, training and timed qualification runs
                      February 24th - Athletes racing in heats

Entry Fee   $79 per athlete for two day event

Awards    Will be held Sunday February 24th in the Village Centre Mall at 3:00pm

Clothing requirements   Must wear a loose, 2 piece suit with at least 4 cm/1.5 inches of loose fabric at the thigh and 3 cm/1.25 inches at the bicep; downhill racings suits are not allowed!

Helmets are mandatory, helmet cams and mounts are not allowed during racing.  Back protectors and mouth guards are recommended

Training: There will be closed training on Friday, February 22nd, beginning at noon.  You must register in person at the race office, and sign all waivers before you can train.  Training bibs must be worn.

For athletes & coaches  Canadian athletes must be a current member with a registered club in the appropriate category of membership for the level of the competition. Canadian coaches must be current members with a registered club, have the appropriate level of CSCF certification for the level of athlete under their care, and be current & in good standing with CSCF.  All athletes must be represented by a coach or accredited guardian who can access & are insured to enter the course.

Foreign athletes & coaches  Athletes from the USA are insured by their USSA membership to participate in Alpine Canada sanctioned events with confirmation from their association. US coaches registered with USSA are insured by their USSA membership to participate in Alpine Canada sanctioned events. All athletes must be represented by a coach or accredited guardian who can access & are insured to enter the course.
