Big White Ski Resort,
located 55 kilometres east of Kelowna, British Columbia, has been
recognized as one of the Top Five family resorts for UK skiers. A recent
story in the prestigious Sunday Times notes, "This resort offers ski
in, ski out convenience and, with the strength of the pound against the
Canadian dollar, is affordable. The resort is laid back and perfect for
families."

comprehensive guide to more than 200 resorts around the world. Big White
was the only North American resort to crack the top five, which included
primarily Swiss and French resorts.
"Most of us started to ski as part of a
family vacation or activity, and our focus for the past three decades has
really been on providing an outstanding winter family experience,"
commented Michael J. Ballingall, Big White’s senior vice-president for
sales and marketing.

have three generations of families staying here - adults who started skiing

Great Britain recognizes our efforts, and welcome UK skiers and boarders to

This is not the first time that Big White has been
internationally recognized. Last year, Peter Hardy of the Daily Telegraph
listed the Okanagan resort as 3rd in the "100 Top Ski Holidays for
First Timers and Families" Peter is a leading British expert on the
ski and travel industry and is a ski correspondent for the Daily Telegraph
and the Daily Mail. Conde Nast Traveler magazine (USA) rated Big White as
its Number 1 area for snow quality last year as well.
