 Last week was a busy one for the Big White Events crew. Wednesday July 1st was Canada Day and Big White joined the festivities at Waterfront Park. The team set up a Kids Zone in the Park and were soon inundated with children. Milli the Millipede was the most popular activity of the afternoon with a lineup right until the end of the day. The Big White crew gave away Blistex, mountain maps, brochures and stickers with nothing left at closing. They were also on hand to answer many questions about season passes, ski school etc. from the locals and questions about the mountain and accommodation from out of town guests. Parents were very happy, and commented on the Big White level of service and being one of the few free activities for families at the festival. Boomer and the Loose Moose were, as usual swamped with children of all ages. Special thanks to Jim, Cutis and Spencer Lloyd for helping out during the day.
On Friday July 3 the events team went over to West Kelowna for Westside Daze. They set up tents, popcorn and candy floss for the Friday night and Saturday festivities. Westside Daze was once again a huge hit with great weather helping everything along. Loose Moose entered the parade and hitched a ride in an antique truck for part of the parade route.
