Last night was the first $5 Friday for the 2008/2009 season which was a great success with a record number of locals heading up to the mountain for family fun on the slopes.

There was a vibrant atmosphere in the resort as families and friends flocked to the mountain to enjoy a fun filled evening under the clear night sky. ”It was a great success, we couldn’t have asked for a better evening, the conditions were great and everyone was out having a great time.” commented Blair Ireland, Director or Guest Services and Events at Big White Ski Resort Ltd.

In the current state of the economy, life’s little luxuries seem to be getting cut back daily. Big White doesn’t agree that you have to miss out on the thrills and enjoyment of skiing and snowboarding, so for a number of years they have run $5 Fridays between 5:00pm-8:00pm every week commencing in Jauary.

This great offer gives everyone in the community the chance to get out on the slopes, and at only $5 for a lift pass and $10 for rentals, skiing and snowboarding can be enjoyed by all.

There’s nothing better than starting off the weekend with your family and friends under the moonlit sky for great fun, skiing and snowboarding.  $5 Fridays will continue to run throughout the season whilst night skiing is still open so it’s a great chance to head to Big White to be apart of the fun.
