November 3, 2008 .. Ski Canada magazine will return to Big White Ski Resort in British Columbia for the 29th annual Ski Canada Test the week of March 2 to 6, 2009. The Ski Canada Test is recognized as one of the world's leading alpine consumer ski tests and is the longest continuous running ski test in North America.
The Ski Canada Test recruits expert alpine skiers to form a test team that can understand the unique qualities of each ski and grade them on a variety of characteristics such as edge grip, stability and versatility. Ski testers also make recommendations as to what types of skier would be best suited for the ski based on ability, weight and style. Finally, testers comment on their experience with the ski. Ski Canada welcomes your input on definition of test categories and which models for your brand you are most interested in entering the test. Ski Canada and Big White are also willing to organize a consumer demo through test week that could run each afternoon..
The Ski Canada Test results are published in four issues of the magazine each fall and posted to the Ski Canada website where Test results from the past eight years can be viewed. The Test results page is the most popular page on the website. Also very popular are the Ski and Boot Listings published in the magazine and online here. The listings present specs for every model of every brand available in Canada and are a unique feature of Ski Canada's emphasis on alpine ski gear. This focus draws the largest number of total readers for ski media in Canada and these are quality readers that include your dealers' customers.
