Air Canada Continues Non-stop Kelowna-Toronto Service
Air Canada has announced it will restart its popular non-stop weekend flights between Kelowna International Airport and Toronto during the upcoming winter ski season, onboard Air Canada’s new 93-seat Embraer 190 aircraft.
“We are pleased to continue our popular weekend non-stop service between our main Toronto hub and Kelowna this winter season, linking the BC interior to our worldwide network.” said Daniel Shurz, Air Canada Vice President, Network Planning.
City of Kelowna Mayor Sharon Shepherd is pleased that Air Canada will continue its non-stop service from Kelowna to Toronto. “We have a long and proud history with Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz at Kelowna International Airport,” says Mayor Shepherd. “This is a popular route for the business community, the ski and wine industries, and the visiting friends and families traveling between our two cities.”
Beginning December, Air Canada flights operate on Saturdays and Sundays, and will depart Kelowna at 11:55 a.m. arriving Toronto at 7:05 p.m. Flights depart Toronto at 9:15 a.m., arriving Kelowna at 11:04 a.m. Flights have been timed to ensure convenient connections to and from Eastern and Atlantic Canada, as well as a number of destinations in the US east coast, including Boston and New York.
The Kelowna International Airport offers over 30 departures per day with non-stop service to Calgary, Edmonton, Las Vegas, Prince George, Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver and Victoria on five air carriers; WestJet , Air Canada, AC Jazz, Central Mountain Air, and Horizon Air. Seasonal charter service is also offered to Los Cabos, Cancun and Puerto Vallarta.
