Wow – How the time flies – Can you believe it’s less than 8 weeks until our tentative opening day – November 27th!! The whole team has been full steam ahead ensuring everything will be prepared to perfection for your first days on the slopes!

The construction teams have been full steam ahead to ensure deadlines are met before packing up for the winter. The Chateau Blanc project has taken advantage of the great weather as they have completed the bottom two floors of the arcade, and continue work on the third. The main base of the hotel has now been completed, and finishing touches are being made for an estimated slowdown scheduled for October 10th. The crane still towers over the site and can be seen from the live webcam. It has a reach of over 270 feet and will grow in height with the building.

The Stonegate project is building excitement from locals with the roof nearing completion with only the membrane left. Dry walling has started, and siding will begin next week. The crew has began installing windows, and expect this task to be completed this week! Landscaping work continues with the addition of around 30 new trees.

Over at The Edge preparations have begun to ensure work may continue after the snow falls! The final foundation is being poured for the last phase 3 unit. The phase one buildings are currently receiving their final touches including granite counter tops, carpet and plumbing fixtures. The crew is on schedule with all four of the phase 3 buildings completed to different stages.

Outdoor operations have also been busy having completed their summer grooming projects on Paradise and Lower Exhibition. The excavators will move over to Perfection next week. The logging crew continue their work over at the Powder Chair. Lara's gondola is happily being reunited with its cabins as the maintenance team wrap up their gondola duties. It’s also time to say goodbye to the yellow administration building as it receives a paint-lift.

The Events team is busy preparing some great events for the winter time... stay tuned for what’s happening opening weekend. The crew attended Rockanagan over the weekend and had a fantastic time, a big congratulations to Kelly who won the $1000 prize from The Village Rider!
