Our events team has been busy planning our annual Mountain of Memories Car Show to be held at Big White. Join us on Sunday the 31st of August, and prepare for a day of family fun! Take a ride on our Snowghost or Plaza chairs from 9:30 am and enjoy a guided walking tour or hike down Easy Out, Highway 33 and Hummingbird! Indulge in a delicious BBQ lunch and enjoy a beverage from our Okanagan Springs beer garden all whilst listening to the live band. Take some time to relax and enjoy the cars, or indulge in some retail therapy at Ski Dazzle’s one-off sale - with up to 70% off! As always there’ll be plenty of entertainment for the kids with our famous carnival set up and Nintendo Wii games!

The Okanagan sunshine continues to shine up at Big White and the construction teams have wasted no time utilizing the long days! The Chateau Blanc continues to pour concrete for their lower car park and have now graded out for the three further slabs. The first quarter of the suspended slab tables are now up and work has began on the first lift of the elevator walls.

The crane at Chateau Blanc still towers over the site and can be seen from the live webcam. It has a reach of over 270 feet and will grow in height with the building. They have continued to pour columns, shear walls and have finished the uphill walls of the underground parking.

Over at the Edge things are looking good as the finishing touches continue on phase one. The ground floor slabs have been poured and framing work begins on the last building in phase one. Work continues on the roof on the second last building in the same phase. The first building in the third phase is coming along with the foundation walls poured and ready to backfill. The sub grade is now prepped for the foundations of the next two buildings in phase three – they will begin the foundations on these next week!

The Feathertop development is looking fantastic – It’s worth taking a look just for the breathtaking views! Construction has begun and is moving quickly on a private residence, and landscaping work throughout the development continues.

The village is looking fantastic with work continuing on the Daycare expansion, as well as renovations to the existing Kids Centre. Landscaping work continues around the resort including re-seeding and tree planting in preparations for the Mountain of Memories Car Show!

Outdoor Operations has had another busy week continuing their extensive summer grooming program, and is currently working on Talons Grip and Kalina’s Rainbow on the Gem Lake Express. The Black Forest is preparing for a make over as the team continue painting the towers.
