For Immediate Release: December 18, 2006
(Kelowna, BC) The readers of LUXURY TRAVEL magazine, Australia's number one travel and lifestyle publication, recently voted Big White Ski Resort as the NUMBER FIVE most luxurious ski resort in the world! Big White moves up from its number seven ranking last year.
The winners of Luxury Travel Magazine's Gold List 2007, Australiašs most prestigious travel awards, were announced today.
The awards are the result of a survey in which tens of thousands of Luxury Travel Magazine's subscribers and readers were asked to nominate the world's best hotels, resorts, spas, cruise lines, golf courses, ski resorts, airlines and destinations a total of 22 categories in all. The extensive online survey was conducted between September and October this year and offered no prompts to respondents, simply allowing them to choose their three favourite luxury travel experiences in each category. The responses were then tabulated electronically and the results listed in order of votes polled.
This year, the magazine joined forces with Virtuoso the world's most exclusive collection of luxury travel agents and prestige car brand Lexus, whose clients also voted in the survey, making this one of the most comprehensive luxury travel surveys ever conducted by an Australia travel magazine.
