Student Pass Eligibility
In order to purchase a season pass at the student rate you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be a full-time post-secondary student 19 years or older, attending a recognized accredited college, university, local trade or business school within Canada or the United States.
- Co-op students and Apprentices are eligible as long as you are in school for at least 8 weeks during the fall & winter semesters and must present a letter from your school's administration office stating the period you are in school.
* Full-time is defined as taking 3 or more courses for both the fall & winter semesters, and attending a brick & mortar or virtual campus.
* A list of Canadian accredited colleges or universities can be found here.
Local trade or business schools include:
- CDI
- Vancouver Community College
- Digital Art School
- BCIT
- Okanagan College
To pick up your pass, you must present all of the following documentation:
- Co-op or Apprenticeship documentation if applicable
- A copy of your current course curriculum/registration showing dates and times for classes with your name & student ID printed on it
- Statement showing payment/partial payment of your course fees and your student number. *this does not include your minimal registration fee and must show a significant payment toward your registered course fee tuition
- Valid government picture ID such as; driver’s license, passport or B.C. ID

Now every member of your family can show their Big White spirit! Get your Pet Pass from the Village Centre Mall Ticket Office. Bring your dog in to have their photo taken or simply email a photo of your furry friend to tickets@bigwhite.com with your name, contact number and whether you would like to pick up the pass or have it mailed to you.
In honor of our 50th Anniversary the Pet Pass is FREE!
Please use the side door closest to the gondola to enter the VCM with your pet.
The Pet Pass shows a photo of the dog as well as the owner's phone number, it acts as an ID while out playing in the snow out on the mountain.
Remember: If your dog loves skiing as much as you do you can take them out for a run on Gondola Way prior to the lifts opening at 8:30am.
Refundable Pass Option
The refundable pass option provides you the assurance of a partial refund as outlined below:
- Without purchasing the refundable pass option, passes are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- The price of the refundable option is $25 for individual pass holders or $75 for a family.
- The refundable pass option is only available when purchased concurrently with your seasons pass.
- Big White Ski Resort will refund the cost of the seasons pass if you suffer an injury or sickness which prevents your participation in skiing or snowboarding.
- Big White Ski Resort will refund the cost of the Seasons Pass if your employer transfers you, making it necessary to move your residence outside a 200km radius form the resort, provided that the date of transfer is at least 45 days after the purchase of the seasons pass. (Okanagan residents only)
- If your parent, spouse, or child is also a refundable pass holder and chooses to cease participation due to injury or sickness, he or she is entitled to a refund. The refund is limited to one additional claimant.
- The refund option does not cover: non-participation caused by or contributed to by intentional self-injury; non-participation due to emotional disorders or pre-existing conditions unless you are hospitalized; non-participation due to normal pregnancy; or any injury or sickness that does not prevent the participation of skiing.
- If you need to request a refund, we must receive your written request within 15 days of non-participation. We will not accept refund requests after April 1st.
- When presenting your claim, please provide a cover letter of explanation, your seasons pass, and a medical certificate providing the date of the first medical treatment and prognosis, stating that you are unable to ski, and the length of time the illness or injury will prevent participation.
- In the event of job relocation, include a letter from your employer within 15 days of notification, stating the location, date and length of relocation.
- All refunds subject to Big White Resort Ltd.'s discretion and approval.
- Big White Ski Resort Ltd.'s interpretation of the above conditions is final.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do you define a family?
A: Family of 3 or more is defined as; a maximum of two adult parents and a minimum of one child between the ages of 6 and 18 living at the same residence or two children with a single parent. Families of 5 or more pay for the four eldest family members passes and the remaining passes are FREE*. Please note we require new pass holders to show proof of age and address when picking up their passes, even if they are part of an existing family.
*All free passes are subject to a $25 processing fee.
Q: Do I need to sign a waiver this year?
A: Everyone will need to sign a new waiver in person this year, parents will need to sign for their children 18 years or younger.
Q: Do I need a new photo?
A: Yes, everyone will need a new photo this season before we can print your season pass.
Q: What are your office hours?
A: Kelowna Head Office: Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm, closed 12pm-12:30pm for lunch.
Q: Where do I pick up my pass?
A: You can pick up your pass at our Kelowna office year-round at 1894 Ambrosi Rd from 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. You may also pick up your pass from the main ticket office in the Village Centre Mall at Big White from opening day through the season. Tentative opening date is December 1st, 2012 but if snow permits, we will open early, so your pass will be available from opening day.
Q: I am on a payment plan, when can I pick up my pass?
A: You may pick up your pass once all payments have been received from your credit card or chequing account. We will not be able to give your season pass until all payments have been made.
Q: I have purchased my pass online, where can I pick up my pass?
A: If you have purchased a pass online by signing into your previous account and we have a current picture on file taken after July 1st, 2012, we will print & mail your pass. If not, you can pick it up at our 1894 Ambrosi Rd Kelowna office and at the main ticket office on mountain once the season starts.
Q: How can I purchase a student pass?
A: Student passes can be purchased online, over the phone at 250.491.6262, in person at the Ambrosi Rd office as well as from the main ticket office in the Village Centre Mall once it is open for the season.
Q: What do I need to show to collect my student pass?
A: You will need to show your Co-op or Apprenticeship documentation if applicable.
- A copy of your current course curriculum/registration showing dates and times for classes with your name &
student ID printed on it for both Fall and Winter semesters.
- Your tuition statement showing full or partial payment of your course fees with your student number on it.
- Valid government picture ID such as; driver’s license, passport or B.C. ID.
