Big White to Open Thursday, December 1st!
Big White Ski Resort is open ahead of schedule and kicking off the 2011/2012 season on Thursday, December 1st.
Lift Tickets are currently available at a 50% discount and equipment rentals are also available at a discounted rate of 25% off. Pricing is subject to change as more terrain becomes available.
At present time, Big White is planning on opening the Ridge Rocket Express Quad, Plaza Quad Chair, Lara's Gondola, and the Magic Carpet. For the most up to date information on Big White's lift status, please be sure to check our Online Lift Status Report.
Runs currently open include Exhibition, Paradise, Lower Perfection, Lower Distributor, Speculation, Roller Coaster, Ridge Connector, Kangaroo, Serwa's, Highway 33, Easy Out, Easy Street, Hummingbird, Hummingbird Mini Terrain Park, Lower Perfection, Mogul Track, Secret, Shortcut, and Happy Valley Way, and Beinnger Areas. Big White will open additional runs as conditions permit. Big White's Grooming Report will be updated daily and is your best resource for runs status.
The Mega Snow Coaster Tube Park and Skating Rink will open for the season as of 4pm on Friday, December 2nd.
“With 22cm of snow in the last 7 days, the mountain is looking great! The groomers are out, all the staff are trained and we’re ready to start spinning the lifts,” said Blair Ireland, Director of Guest Services. “We’re happy to be able to open the mountain a couple of days early and let everyone enjoy the great conditions.”

The Kelowna Express Bus to Big White is scheduled to start operation on Friday, December 2nd.
Free Opening Day Vouchers
Local residents with a Free Opening Day Voucher, please note these will be accepted on Thursday, December 1st and will also be honoured on the previously scheduled opening day on Saturday, December 3rd.
Getting Your Season Pass
If you have not yet received your Big White Season Pass, you can pick your pass up on mountain at the Ticket Office located in the Village Center Mall.
