Big White Wins Best Access out of all North American Resorts!
The Telegraph, United Kingdom
Contrary to many people's expectations, most North American resorts have at least some ski-in, ski-out accommodation. But few can rival Big White for its ski convenience – virtually all the hotels and apartments in this modern, purpose-built resort are ski-in, ski-out, with the main lifts starting below village level and even the Main Street being dubbed a ski run by the resort.
The terrain suits intermediates best, and the fact that it gets a lot of snow and has a lot of trees for shelter means that it is a good place to learn to ski powder. There's also a great area called Happy Valley with other activities such as ice skating, snowmobiling, tubing and snowshoeing, served by a gondola that works till late.
