This Saturday, February 25, Big White Ski Resort, in partnership with People in Motion Kelowna, will host the Kids in Motion Family Fun Day and 5th Annual Ski-A-Thon.

People in Motion is an organization that works to support people with physical and sensory disabilities and their families to participate in and contribute to their communities as much as they desire. People in Motion Kelowna is involved with programs and services in adaptive recreation as well as community networking and health & wellness workshops specific to the benefit of the persons with disabilities community.

The Kids in Motion Family Fun Day will be a fun-filled day of activities for children with disabilities and their families. It's a chance for children, who would be otherwise unable, to try out a variety of winter sports like adaptive down hill skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice-skating, tubing, sleigh rides and much more!

The 5th Annual Ski-A-Thon is a fundraising event that has had participants rallying pledges over the past month for their chance to earn a discounted day of skiing at Big White Ski Resort and opportunity to claim the grand prize! All proceeds raised by the Ski-A-Thon will be donated directly to People in Motion Kelowna and will help support future events and further awareness for the persons with disabilities community of Kelowna.  To register and participate in the Ski-A-Thon a registration link can be found here

The Kids in Motion Family Fun Day registration is already closed, but for those wishing to donate to this great cause, the People in Motion team will be located in the lower level of Happy Valley Day Lodge from 9:00am-4:00pm collecting donations. Everyone is encouraged to drop by and show support!
