Snow Report: January 28, 2017
This weekend, our TELUS Park crew has been putting the final touches park features to prepare for the 2017 World Para Snowboard Championships, coming up February 1-8, 2017. Over 100 of the world's most talented para snowboarding athletes have travelled to Big White Ski Resort from 25 countries to compete for 8 days in this world-class competition. Big White is proud to host this event and looks forward to welcoming all of the athletes at Opening Ceremonies on February 1, 2017.
In the past 7 days the mountain has experienced periodic but consistent flurries, dusting the slopes with 15cm of new snow and brining the alpine base to 172cm. Conditions are perfect for fast laps on groomed tracks. Fresh snow is on the forecast from Tuesday onwards so be sure to keep your eye on the weather report.
Also, don't forget! Masters Week starts this Monday January 30 through February 3, 2017. Masters Week is a special, week-long program designed specifically for skiers and snowboarders over the age of 50. It's a great way to meet like-minded snow sports enthusiasts through a week of exclusive après events including wine tastings, appies at Big White's best local restaurants, evening sleigh rides, and more.
