Big White Love: 6 best things to do on Valentine's Day (if you're single)

Posted On: February 12, 2015 |
Valentine's Day is one for the lovers - and if you happen to be lacking a significant other, it's easy to feel left out from all the celebrations. This is why Big White is dedicated to making this Valentine's Day a great one for everyone, regardless of your relationship status.

Here are the six best things to do on the mountain if you're single and up here for Valentine's Day. Regardless of what you choose, you're bound to have plenty of fun...

1. Book in for a Valentine's Gondola with your best friend

Treat your best friend to a ride in one of our Valentine's themed gondolas. They'll be decked out in pillows, blankets and love hearts, and are sure to win you some friendship brownie points while you're making great memories. Our Gondola rides are only $15 for two people and you get glasses of sparkling, as well as a box of chocolate-covered strawberries. Rides are available from 5:00pm – 8:00pm and reservations are required.  For all the details, contact our Concierge desk at concierge@bigwhite.com

2. Come by our Valentine's Day Photobooth for a photo

You can't miss our themed photobooth. It'll be decked out with props, balloons and chalkboards so you can get all dressed up with your family and friends and pose for an awesome photo. And yes, we will email you the photo so you can show it off to everyone back home. This photo booth will be running in the Village from 11am - 2pm.

3. Go to the Traffic Light Party at Sessions Taphouse & Grill

And make sure you wear green, because green = single. Once you get there, look out for anyone else wearing green, and keep an eye out for anyone in orange too - they can be persuaded. Just stay away from those in red - red = taken and you wouldn't want to cause any trouble...

4. Head over to Snowshoe Sam's...

Sam's is also celebrating singles on the evening of the 14th. Enjoy drink and food specials and keep your fingers crossed - you may just meet the perfect Valentine.  Gohere for more details.

5. Stay home and eat all the baked goods in the world

Every bakery and sweet shop across the mountain has created a whole lot of baked goods for Valentine's Day. Load up on heart-shaped cookies from The Bakery, buy yourself a bouquet of cake pops from Frosted Snowflake, or head to Sweet Cravings for a bunch of chocolate-covered strawberries. Then go home and bask in the fact that you don't have to share your sweets with anyone.

6. Take part in Cruz the Blues

It's an awesome way to explore the mountain and conquer as many blue runs as possible. Plus you get an epic souvenir t-shirt and go in the draw to win a grand prize from Big White. Cruz the Blues runs over Saturday and Sunday, and the prizing ceremony happens in the Village at 4pm on Sunday.
