Okanagan Trestles Tour

Posted On: May 17, 2013 |

We are excited to announce an exciting event taking place this summer that we are involved with – Okanagan Trestles Tour! July 14th ride the historic Kettle Valley Railway starting at the famous Myra Canyon. It is the 10th Anniversary of the Okanagan Mountain Fire and it’s time to celebrate the amazing trail and history.

The 80km route from Kelowna to Penticton starts with 18 trestles, two tunnels, and picturesque views. Abandoned railway corridors hold unparalleled opportunities as recreational trails, and the Kettle Valley Railway is no exception. This corridor is one of the most dynamic routes in Canada, with some truly impressive scenery and spectacular views. The easy grade makes it suitable for all levels of ability. Cycling this trail is truly a dynamic and challenging venture that unfolds over the expanse of place and time.

This fun non-competitive tour also contains five rest stops with food, drinks, mechanical support and first aid and when you arrive in Penticton you will be greeted with live music, great food, beer, wine expo and more.

The event will be supporting the Trans Canada Trail Foundation, Trails Society of BC and the Myra Canyon Trestle Restoration Society.
