May 5th - Scotiabank MS Walk
Lace up for the 2013 MS Walk and help change lives for the better—beginning right where you live. Your participation will help fund innovative programs and services in your community and support groundbreaking research dedicated to finding a cure.

May 16th to 19th - Rutland May Days
Come out and join the excitement at Kelowna’s longest running festival and parade. Enjoy live entertainment, food, games and carnival rides. Kick things off, by watching the May Day Parade along Rutland Road, before taking in the kids zone, concerts and much more!

May 18th to 19th - Knox Mountain Hill Climb
The Knox Mountain Hillclimb is an annual event, testing cars and drivers on a paved road course of ten major turns, climbing 800 vertical feet over 2.2 miles. Stop by Knox Mountain Park and watch all the action as drivers race up the mountain.
May 19th - Melbourne Snow Travel Expo
Back again in 2013 for its eighth year, The Snow Travel Expo is your ticket to great deals and a world of inspiration and information! The Snow Travel Expo brings over 50 global ski resorts to Australia and the latest ski and snowboard gear. Don't miss your chance to say hello to the Big White team from 10am to 4pm.

May 25th & 26th - Play On! Hockey
CBC Hockey Night in Canada presents Play On! returns to Kelowna. This is Canada’s most amazing street hockey tournament and outdoor hockey festival. Tournaments feature hundreds of teams and thousands of participants and include separate divisions for each gender, all skill levels, and all ages.

May 26th - Family Fun Day
The City of Kelowna is hosting a FREE Family Fun Day Sunday from 12pm to 4pm. There will be entertainment, children’s games, swimming, activities and food. Don’t forget your bathing suit and a donation to the Kelowna Community Food Bank.

June 1st - Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life
The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life is more than just a fundraiser. It is an opportunity to get together with family and friends and celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back in the hope of finding a cure for this terrible disease. Walk in this inspirational 12 to 24 hour event to make cancer history. There will be laughter and fun, joy and sorrow but mostly, conviction that cancer can be kicked out of our lives and communities — if we act together.

June 2nd - YMCA Healthy Kids Day
YMCA Healthy Kids Day brings families together to engage in fun, active play, and learn healthier habits to help them grow and thrive. Activities are FREE and open to all. Children will enjoy games, activities, healthy snacks, prizes and much more. Over 50 FREE activities and open to all from 12:00pm to 4:00pm!

June 7th to 9th - Fat Cat Children's Festival
This year, Curious Fat Cat Wants to Know: What Kind of Cat are YOU?!?!
Experience all kinds of great workshops, activity stations and performers.
Bang your Djembe Drums, Play in the Mud, Carve Soapstone or Practice Circus Yoga ... all kinds of fun, exploratory workshops await you.
And don't forget the Parade, it will be too much fun again this year!
This two day festival offers the opportunity for children and their families to get hands-on exposure to the arts and to allow their creativity and imaginations to blossom.

June 16th - Father's Day Car Show
This year, the 14th Annual Father’s Day Car Show promises to be another great success. The event takes place on Sunday, June 16th, 2012 from 11:00am to 4:00pm at City Park in Kelowna. Last year the 14th Annual Father’s Day Car Show was a great hit, with over 500 cars, trucks, boats and bikes! As well, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Cars for Dad, bouncy castles and face painting for the kids and the silent auction for Mom, as well as great food and entertainment.
June 22nd - Variety Boat for Hope
Variety’s Boat for Hope events are coming this summer! Join our skippers, pirates and families as they sail the high seas during these memorable "fun-raising" days which include an exciting pirate adventure on the water followed by a fun-filled land event.

"Celebrate Canada Day - Kelowna" is an annual, free community festival held in Waterfront Park, Jim Stuart Park and NEW this year, Kerry Park, as well as Prospera Place for residents and visitors to celebrate our nation's birthday. There are over 50+ activities and performances that are multi-generational and family-friendly, sure to entertain festival goers all day long. Over 55,000 people have attended these celebrations each year for the past three years!

July 2nd to August 31st - Parks Alive!
Parks Alive! produces over 50 events each year, primarily in the summer months, throughout many of Kelowna’s parks and public spaces. Entertainment is family-friendly and suitable for people of all ages and tastes. Performers range from local artists to world-class professionals, performing in a variety of musical genres and styles.
July 14th - Okanagan Trestles Tour

You are invited to come ride the historic Kettle Valley Railway bed starting at the famous Myra Canyon, Kelowna to Penticton.
Join us for this fun oriented non-competitive event. The 80km route starts with 18 trestles and two tunnels, beautiful views, flat profile for the first 36km then a 2.2% decline to Penticton.
There will be 5 rest stops with food, drinks, mechanical support and first aid when you arrive in Penticton you will be greeted with live music, great food, beer, wine expo and more.
It is the 10th Anniversary of the Okanagan Mountain Fire. The Trestles were re-opened in 2008, (5 years ago), with a great celebration. Now it is time to celebrate this amazing trail and history again.

July 20th - The 65th Annual Interior Savings Across the Lake Swim
Since its beginning in 1949 as part of the Kelowna Regatta, the Across The Lake Swim in Kelowna, BC has always been more a demonstration of swimming ability than just a race. Each summer, swimmers of all ages and abilities challenge themselves to swim 2.1 kilometers across Okanagan Lake, to test what they have learned, and to master the distance in whatever conditions Mother Nature delivers on race day. First time participants especially appreciate the feeling of accomplishment when they arrive at the finish line.

We’ll have vendors lining the streets with great deals, fashion shows, dog agility demonstrations and fun dog competitions, kids activities, dancing, music and lots more! Come join us for a huge community Block Party in Downtown Kelowna.

August 16th - 18th - 31st Annual Pushor Mitchell Apple Triathlon
The Kelowna Apple Triathlon features a very spectator-friendly course in the heart of downtown Kelowna. Mutiple loops are used for the various races to cover the bike and run distances. While supporters are welcome to cheer on athletes all along the course (please remember the road closures), the heart of the action near transition and the Dolphins provides the best spectator experience.

September 8th - 2013 Scotiabank BC SPCA Paws For A Cause
This walk for the animals is the BC SPCA's signature event bringing together animal lovers all over the province! The BC SPCA is a not for profit reliant on support from the community. Proceeds will support the BC SPCA's care and protection of animals.
September 15th - Terry Fox Run at Mission Sports Fields
Help us raise funds for cancer research at the Terry Fox Run at Mission Sports fields. Sign up a team and walk, run, or bike the 1.5km, 5km, or 9km course.
