Canadian Snowboard Cross National Championships at Big White’s TELUS Park

From April 3-6, 2014, Big White Ski Resort along with BC Snowboard are hosting the 2014 Sport Chek Canadian Snowboard Cross National Championships at Big White’s TELUS Park.  Riders from across Canada as well as riders who have joined us internationally will compete in their own respective categories which include Junior FIS, Senior FIS, U14 and Para Snowboard.

Big White Ski Resort Chosen to Host FIPS 2014

The Canadian Ski Patrol (CSC) has been chosen to host the 2014 FIPS (Federation Internationale des Patrouilles de Ski) Conference and they have decided upon Big White Ski Resort as their host resort of choice.  Big White Ski Resort is happy to host such an event that has over 100 delegates from 13 nations from around the world visiting our pristine winter paradise.

Rooftop Campout: Big White Fire Department Raises Money for the Fallen Firefighters Charity

I am your typical Ontario transplant here in BC. I came, I saw, I took too many pictures and I moved back as quickly as I could. My first powder experience was at Big White at least a decade ago. A group of us came out to compete in the halfpipe nationals and it was dumping. We had never seen snow like this before. Correction, we had never seen snow like this on a ski hill before. I don’t remember how I placed, what my run was but I do remember that first feeling of experiencing deep snow. We still talk about it to this day and I would say the majority of us now call BC home.

Kids in Motion Family Day at Big White- Incredible Turnout!

Big White Ski Resort hosted over 150 individuals and families in Happy Valley for Kids in Motion’s Annual Family Day, Sunday, March 2nd.  Kids in Motion is a program of the Kelowna & District Society for People in Motion. It was put into place in the Central Okanagan in order to promote adaptive sport, recreation and active living opportunities for children with disabilities.
