This is the third annual rooftop campout for the Big White Fire Department all in continued support of the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation where 100% of funds raised will go to the charity.

From Friday, March 14th to Sunday, March 16th the men and women from Big White’s Fire Department will brave the conditions and spend two nights camping atop the Kids Centre in the Village Centre.  Throughout the days the firefighters will provide BBQ eats, hot chocolate and coffee all by donation to the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation.  Passerby’s can expect demonstrations throughout the afternoons, snowball throwing contests, tug-of-war competitions and an appearance by the fire departments very own mascot, Sparky the Dalmatian.

"I am so proud of the Big White Fire Department Members who work so hard to organize this annual event. This year's proceeds are going to the Canadian Fallen Fire Fighters Foundation to support families in need. Please stop by and say hi during the camp out we look forward to seeing you" commented Jamie Svendsen, Big White Fire Department Fire Chief.
